Tara Bryan creates artist books in some beautifully innovative shapes. The one pictured here, for example, is a tunnel book, titled World Without End. While it is only 3×3 inches closed, it extends to a full 15 inches. Isn’t it beautiful?

Get the idea?
Francis, Walter, and Grace
I made this piece from a teal-colored background painting that I did on fabric. Teal? Yup! By scanning the background and the vintage photograph of the three lovely children into Photoshop, I was able to […]

Our February Artist Showcase is entitled From the Heart and can be found at Hankering for Yarn, written by our own Noreen!
My entry this month is rather ironic! I made a piece back in December, but didn’t get around to posting it until last week. It’s called Dreaming of June, and is about […]

The important thing is that creation is G-d’s, and that we are part of it, and being part of creation is for us to be co-creators with Him in the continuing joy of new creation.

No even used up ballpoint pens!! You never know when you just might want to construct a chandelier from your cast-offs.
Volivik Chandelier
A limited edition chandelier, handmade by the enPieza design team. If you want one of these, it will set you back $1000. They chose to use the under-appreciated “bic ballpoint pen as an icon […]

They were NOT
Alyson Souza draws, cuts, preps, assembles, and paints the most extraordinary wooden creations. They are dimensional, although not usually quite as much as they appear to be: her painting skills include many trompe l’oeil techniques. Some of Alyson’s assemblages, such as the one above, are animated on her website…I suggest going there to […]

Instructables has some great directions for how to make yourself a fleece hat, totally customizable to suit your animal preferences. How about a dragon or a scifi character?
Ryzellon, the creator of these hats apologizes for how general the directions are since everyone will want to customize. I don’t feel that […]
