50th anniversary and 70th birthday
It was a really big week when we went on vacation. First stop, the Poconos in Pennsylvania for Mike’s parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. Here’s Mike with his sister, one of his brothers, our daughter Dani, and his parents:
The area we stayed had lots of really interesting trails, waterfalls, and old ruins to look at. This is an old mill that’s slowly disintegrating:
A large portion of Mike’s family was able to gather for the occasion. We were fortunate to get a good-weather day for our picnic…it hadn’t been particularly nice for awhile, so we really caught a break!
One of the gifts that we presented them with was a portrait that Dani did for them in charcoal.
We left the Poconos and drove over to western New York to see my parents for my mother’s 70th birthday. My brother and his family were there as well…they live there, so it was pretty easy for them! We had dinner in a great restaurant but went back to Mom and Dad’s lakeside cottage for dessert(s)!
