A bee’s eye view

Color is so endlessly fascinating! Sometimes we’re tempted to think that color was made just for our enjoyment, but then science brings us up short. At least in the case of flowers, beautiful flowers that make my heart sing, the color was really put there for another’s enjoyment, not ours. The bees, and other pollinators. Makes sense, doesn’t it? And now, science is able to show us how flowers appear to the ones for whom they were really designed:
