Are you ready for Halloween?
I know what I really want to be this year, but I don’t think that the dress will go with the prosthetic elf ears that Dani made for me! Check this out:

Isn’t it great? It’s bleached (!), and smarmyclothes at Craftster has shown us how to do it! Tons more Halloween ideas can be found on the Halloween Board at Craftster. Check it out whether or not you’ve made your costume already :-)
For the kiddies, Craft Magazine’s online Craftzine has wonderful last minute suggestions, many that you can make by visiting your own sewing/crafting closet, recycling bin, and local craft store instead of a costume shop!
Here are some of my posts from seasons past:
Halloween jewelry and accessories

And how about this costume for any of us whose kids loved (or hated) the YipYip characters on Sesame Street?

And let me tell you, no one does Halloween like Martha Stewart! No, really :-) Check this out:
Not much money? Try this great Venetian style carnival mask from Craftzine:

My daughter has the Martha Stewart magazine and also really tattered couches in her living room (they are having a pool put in and then they will get to the living room which she wants to turn into a homework room) so she took the sheets as suggested in the magazine and covered the livingroom furniture. I told her she might want to leave them there till she redoes the room!

Oh yeah…sometimes the decorations look better than the real thing :-)
