Coptic binding
One of the nicest finishes you can give to a handmade book is to bind it in the style known as coptic binding. There are lots of good instructions found in different books on bookbinding, but somehow they always seem to miss just the crucial step that you need to be clarified. Well, a YouTube member known as buchbinderbaumgartne has shared a video showing coptic bookbinding in action. It is well worth watching…but it does help if you already have read through some directions.
