Debe’s Bottles of Hope
My friend Debe Friedhoff recently contacted me to share about a very exciting experience…she became a local TV star! Isn’t that wonderful? When you do the things that you feel passionately about, and other people take notice, that it truly a great moment! You can see the segment here on CW11TV’s website, and find out about how to contact Debe if you feel a yearning to get involved or support her in this project :-)
Debe wrote:
I was lucky enough to come to the attention of the local paper about my Bottles of Hope that I make for people with Multiple Sclerosis and other chronic disease, and that led to a TV interview …I am going to work with someone (I HOPE) for some grant money to go into the community and share this simple gift that a congregation can make for the sick members, or a youth group can make for community service hours.
As my gift to the community my workshops would be free, and I would provide the bottles, and most of the supplies.
One thing that was edited from the TV interview was my insistence that something happened to spark my new creativity, and that I think it was how my brain was altered by MS… somehow the creativity part was snipped out of the interview.
When someone is speaking about something they totally love, it shows, and I expect that Tiny Bottles of Hope the Art From My Heart shows a committment of HOPE in the interview.
You can also learn more about Debe’s project from an article written in the Warrenton Journal. Here’s a photo from that story:

[…] Layers Upon Layers Debe Friedhoff creates bottles of hope for those in need. “You can’t sell hope!” Debe says. “You can only give it away!” […]
