I want to say something profound about wood but can’t come up with anything. I have done a lot of things to wood: I have chopped it, burned it, shaved it, made willow whistles, carved it, constructed with it, played with it, painted on it, made wood batik paintings on it, made pole people, made cedar faries, used it to assist in cooking. I look around my home and realize I am surrounded with wood from the walls of my house, the deck, and many pieces of furniture. Wood has to be a major force in anybody’s life!
