I need your help with a name!
Hi, I’m Cyndi, and I’m a name-challenged designer!
OK, now I’ve admitted it. I simply stink at thinking up names for the pieces I make. The best names on my websites were thought up by other people, my friends who continue to enable me. But here’s the thing…I can’t help it, it’s not my fault, and I can’t be expected to quit cold-turkey.
Some of you know that I write technique articles for Jewelry Crafts magazine. I can’t tell you how many times they’ve changed the title of my article! That’s how bad I am at it. They don’t change my instructions other than to shorten them up, and they never change the names of my pieces though…so they’ve got to be good.
Help me, help me! I can’t think up a name for this piece, and I really need to send the article very very soon. Please post your suggestions here, or email me privately if you’d rather. Please, please, pretty please?

Oh duh…that might make a difference. It’s handpainted fabric beads, ceramic, and wire.

Love the piece, but I think naming works of art, in any form, is one of the hardest parts of creating it. Why not try one of those band name generators online? Something like this one:

I settled on the name “Drum Beat” which was emailed to me off-list. Hey, it’s sort of a band type of thing…
