Into the Blystic with Elis Cooke

Stringing the Blues
My friend Val Foster turned me on to Elis Cooke’s work, and I’m so glad she did! Despite the fact that I was immediately drawn to two pieces that both happen to be blue, Elis works with all the colors of the rainbow…rich, saturated, wonderful colors. Her style is gorgeous and soothing, evocative, charming, and fun, all at the same time! Check out her blog, Into the Blystic, where you can see the pieces in progress and all of her wonderful experiments. Elis’s website has the same name (I need to know what this means!), and is well-worth a visit too. Or many visits :-)

Hi Cyndi. I just saw this today. Thanks so much for calling attention to Elis Cooke and her amazing art works. I’m one of her staunchest, most enthusiastic fans. (Like I’m always thinking….HOW does she DO that?) To me, her work is so inspirational, and I’ve spent a lot of time just studying it and admiring it. I hope other people, who didn’t know of her before, will visit her sites and feast on her beautiful artworks. Thanks again. You rock!
