Life Images magazine giveaway!!

You’ve already heard me blabbing about getting two of my photos into Stampington & Company’s new magazine, Life Images. Well, they’ve sent me an extra copy that I’m allowed to give away here on Layers Upon Layers!!
I’m excited, because I think you’ll love this magazine. It combines art photography with storytelling, quotations, poetry, and journaling. It has both black-&-white and full-color shots, and also digitally and manually manipulated ones. It’s a totally beautiful issue, and I’m really proud to be included.
***Free Magazine Alert ***
If you’d like to have a free copy of Life Images, simply leave me a comment below. In one week, I will draw a name out of a hat and send this gorgeous issue to that lucky person!

Cyndi, I really want to congratulate you for the success you have at everything you do. Your pictures are breathtaking! I would love a copy of the magazine but it is a hassle to send things down here, so if you draw my name just draw another one because someone in the US would get it so much faster.:)

Wow. I’d not heard of “Life Images.” God knows, in northern Nevada I’d never SEE it. Art & photography & writing. The big three. Most magazines, classes, art omits the writing part.

Mar 6, 2008 at 12:24 pm
Hi Barb! No colors were harmed in the making of this image. The sun was out and it really was that brilliant. I added a gaussian blur and upped some of the levels a bit, but I didn’t add extra color or colors that weren’t there that day :-)

Photography … one of my favorite art forms. I’d be thrilled to win the magazine. Your photo is a honey: Have you already posted where you took it? Must be in the South East USA? Thanks for giving it away; very generous. And Where is your magazine available? I looked at your website yesterday for hours, following links. Haven’t ever made an altered book or object yet; just joined the Yahoo group and already am intimidated!

That one was taken in New Hampshire :-) Unfortunately, I don’t know where you can pick up the mag other than maybe B&N or Borders…? It can be ordered directly from http://www.stampington.com

Terrific! I’m trying to learn to incorporate my own photography into my work (would help if I’d read the manual when I got the camera) and I’m excited to see how this mag might help with that…

WOW! and then some! I am a neophyte in the photo/collage area and am really at a ‘jump-off’ point stage looking for new inspiration. I have never seen this magazine in our area and believe me, I am always cruising the book stores looking for any new ’stuff’. So,PLEZZZZZZ put my name into ‘the hat’ for a chance at LIFE IMAGES!
