    I’ve been incorporating “green things” into my art more and more lately. I do visual journaling on and off… I can’t seem to stay consistent with it. When I need to journal and get things out, I write… I have been doing some pet art lately. However, mixing paper with fabric is how I do a huge amount of my work. I LOVE mixing these two elements together. Felting is the only one I haven’t tried and have no desire to do so. I do not need “one more thing”! It really just doesn’t appeal to me.

    Angie, felting doesn’t appeal to me either. I’ve had a couple of opportunities to try it out, and my reaction was just “ick”! Yet I’ve seen some amazing work done in felt and I really like the results. I just don’t want to *do* it LOL!!

    Mixing paper and fabric is my No. 1. The Green thing is nothing new for me because I use original old stuff (read recycling) in my artwork, rather than copies, unless the old object is valuable and unique :)

    While I admire felting, I have absolutely no desire, and never have had, to do it.

    Visual journaling, ditto.

    This is *so* sad! None of us want to try felting :-)

    How very interesting. I also have never felt the appeal (sorry for the pun) of felting, and while I do have an “art journal” it’s really mostly pictures drawn in a spiral book. My main thing is making jewelry, beading and sewing. If re-purposing things makes your “green”, than that’s been a long time thing. I recently did a self portrait in fabric on a paper base. Does that count? Take care.

    You bet it counts! :-)

    One more vote against felting {sigh}

    I like the idea of felting - sort of. If someone in town offered an afternoon class of make it and take it I would probably sign up. To buy the stuff to do it myself - probably won’t happen. I think it is too trendy and will run a short course of popularity. Please don’t count the felt I used for the BJP last year - I didn’t make it and I was using it in a historical sense brought up to date. I don’t count that as “felting”. But I would enjoy that one afternoon!

    One of the only two times I used felt was for BJP last year too! :-)
