Well, that sure beats the heck out of mine, which was essentially my now-husband declaring to a pregnant me that we’d better get engaged before his religious family came out for the holidays. (He made up for it later with a genuine proposal and surprise box of diamond stud earrings served to me for breakfast while we were vacationing that next year.)

This one brought tears to my eyes.
